I miss this. I miss reminiscing and going over memories that - let's face it - i wouldn't remember if I didn't write it down. I used to pride myself on my memory, and J and I both swear that having kids has sucked that right out of me.
So, let's try to get back into this thing and see if I can get myself to stick with it for a while. We have had so many new memories, so many milestones, and lots and lots of pictures (because, that's just who I am), it would be impossible to even try to catch up with what we've done over the past year, so we'll start more recently.
A few weeks ago, mid-May we went to Oceanside with the girls for a week. We got to spend time with J's parents, and have some MUCH needed family time - away from work, school, the HEAT, and just about every stress that we deal with on the daily. It. Was. Perfect.
We spent every day on the beach, right outside our hotel. We got to make sand castles, walk the pier, go swimming at the hotel, eat at some of the most delish restaurants, visit the Old Mormon Battalion, and spend every waking second together. SO nice! My absolute favorite part was simply knowing that Jamison wasn't going to have to leave at any moment - he was all ours! *sigh* Heaven. I'm trying to convince him that this needs to be an annual thing - if not a seasonal thing. ha.
If it's possible, I've become even more obsessed than before with picture taking and capturing memories...so here is about a million pictures of our trip. The best time! I can't wait to do this again.

.we're back.
.on the last morning J and I got up early and walked/jogged the pier and took some last pictures to remember where we spent the bulk of our trip. we loved every second being here.
.last walk at the beach with the littles was strickly to gather the biggest seashells we could find for Emma's jar.
.even Papa Fernelius stopped by while he and Grandma and Tiff were in town for my Great Grandma's funeral, so we got to see them for a few minutes while we packed to leave.
.and he thinks I spoil her.....
.in the middle of the week J and I went on a temple date (GORGEOUS temple!) and we wanted to take the girls there on our way home, so this was one of our last stops.
After the temple stop, J and the girls dropped me off at my Great Grandma's funeral while they went to play for a while. Then we had to head back to the temple because J left his sunglasses there....whoops. And we headed home. By this point we were both drained so he drove to Barstow, and then slept for a bit while I drove, but I honestly only lasted 30 minutes before I started getting groggy, not to mention how windy it was on the road! So we stopped so we could nap for a bit at a rest stop. Kylie woke up with the harsh wind so I kept her entertained in the car while J and Emma napped. 3 hours and a VERY exhausted mama later - J woke up and drove the rest of the way home. I hate sleeping when we travel, just in case he gets groggy too, but it was a strugggggle. SO glad we made it home the same night and got to sleep in our nice, comfortable beds. This trip was literally the best trip we've had yet, and all it's got me doing is wishing and hoping that the next one is super soon. The girls still talk about the beach, 3 weeks later, and I'm sure Emma, at least, will remember her time there for years to come. Now...time to plan our next trip!
.sugar babies.
