Pruitt Littles

We love Thanksgiving over here, and will take any chance we get to make it last as long as possible. This year was no exception...we dragged it out to last the whole week. Daddy had to work Sunday and Monday, so we went to church with grandpa and grandma Fernelius and had a normal day at home on Monday. Tuesday Daddy was off, and grandpa and grandma Staheli were in town so we hung out with them at our house during the day and had a nice, relaxing first day of our 8 day vacation with daddy!

Wednesday we went to the fashion show mall with grandma and grandpa staheli to go visit Santa! I'm kind of bummed we couldn't take pictures inside the building, but Emma loved every minute of it...almost. She wasn't a huge fan of the pretty realistic sleigh ride...as in she closed her eyes, held her bunny super tight..and may have shed a tear or two...but she made it up to the North Pole and even sat on Santa's lap! Super big accomplishment for our shy girl. She talked about seeing "Christmas" (santa) for the whole weekend after her visit, so thankfully the sleigh ride didn't traumatize her too much.

.Kylie slept the whole time we visited Santa, but woke up just in time for us to have lunch at the food court afterwards, girlfriend loves eating, just like daddy.

The next day was Thanksgiving, and my mom invited us over early so Emma could make a little gingerbread village while food cooking. Little did we know how much work was involved, and my mom didn't know that we needed to assemble the houses the night before, so Emma and Daddy worked on it together and got a couple of houses done. Daddy really did all of the work, and I'm amazed at how creative he is with this stuff. I am the worst at being creative with these things, so I left it to the pros and put myself in charge of taking pictures. ha.

.Daddy made the two houses in the middle, and my creation was the sad little outhouse on the right...i got kicked out of the decorating committee pretty dang quick.

Once the food was done we packed up and headed over to my grandpa's house to have a big lunch with them and grandpa and grandma Staheli as our guests. We ate way too much, laughed a bunch, the boys played video games for a while, grandpa Ferny played with Emma, and, of course, mommy went picture-happy. Why do our favorite days of the year fly by so fast? We missed Tiff and Ash so much, but next year i going to be perfection with them home to celebrate with us (only 6 more months til they're home...craziness!)

Later that day I had to go into packing mode to get everything ready to leave for St. George early the next morning. I can't ever get things done in a quick amount of time with two little rugrats to chase around, so putting them in prison for a few minutes was necessary...good thing they can entertain themselves...for a little while, anyway.

The next morning we left for UT around 10am and made it to Hurricane just in time to visit with my dad's sisters and their side of the family for about an hour at their big family luncheon. Emma mostly played with papa - no surprise here. She's obsessed with him.

After lunch we headed to grandpa and grandma staheli's and headed out right away to go feed the ducks - emma was in heaven..and ran out of popcorn way too fast for her liking.

We went back to the house afterwards and got to relax for a while, unwind, and look at pictures of the girls' daddy and grandpa Pruitt. My girls look a lot like them, in my opinion!

Emma needed a massage after such a LONG day of traveling and playing with family! Grandma was the perfect person to help with that.

We ended the night going back to Hurricane to stay with Daddy's Aunt Peggy, and had a late night snack before bed.

Day 2: Hung out with Aunt Peggy for a few hours.

First stop: We visited with my grandma and grandpa Austad. we love them so much, and enjoy every visit we have with them when we get a chance to go up to St. George.

Then we were off to grandpa and grandma Staheli's again. The men went out to play Pickle Ball, while the ladies stayed home. Emma played a little pool, and then together we made the best gingerbread house ever! I redeemed myself with this one.

We ended the night heading back to Aunt Peggy's, cuddling up to a movie for a few minutes before crashing after a long and eventful day.

Day 3: After Emma was ready for the day she, of course, had to get barbie doll ready. So, while mommy and daddy got ready for the day she ever-so-carefully combed her hair, and ripped her body in half while dressing her. All we did today, Sunday, was relax at Peggy's while mommy and daddy packed. We played outside for a few minutes, and then took off for home as soon as Kylie was ready to go down for a nap. We had the BEST Thanksgiving week and just wish we would've had a few more days in UT to go on hikes and little adventures with our girls, but we were definitely ready to be home, too. Traveling with babies is a lot of work. We're really grateful we have 2 more days to recover with Daddy before he has to go back to work. Loved our trip and love that we have made new memories with so many family members this week!
