.let's talk...about your hair.

little miss emma bug got her very first haircut today! (we're trying to forget when daddy buzzed her head at 6 months old while mommy was gone for the day - dark day.) she did not want to get in the little car, even with bribes of her favorite "monkey show" {curious george} or some treats - goldfish AND fruit gummies! she knew something was up...mama ain't raisin' no dummy. ;)

luckily though, when i picked her up to get in she didn't make a fuss. she was still scared and tried worming out of the chair a couple of times, but once the haircut got going, and she realized there was no danger she sat back, played with the steering wheel a bit and the little bell at the front of the car, watched her monkey show, and just relaxed as grandma and mommy went picture happy. my ~~baby girl~~ BIG girl is growing up too fast!

she did amazing! she even got a balloon and a cute little certificate for completion of her very first (kinda) haircut.

we finished off our 'hair cutting adventure' by playing on the cute little playground that tivoli village has. it was way too crowded with lots of little ones which made emma super nervous and shy at first, but once she found a friend she had the best time! she was so happy she couldn't help skipping {running} back to the car, and in the process totally face-planted into the pavement. oops. my poor babe. but once we cleaned her up, she was happy as ever again.

.little lady.

it seems as though emma's personality for each day depends on what she's wearing. this day, for example, she was as much of a little lady as ever.

wearing pearls, lace, (always having bunny close by) and being a beauty in her bare feet...she gracefully walked in the yard toward the only dandelion she could find and blew her little heart out.

i can't possibly get enough of my little emmie girl.

.photo op.

i try to take just about any opportunity to take pictures of my daughter. she has grown up way too fast for my liking and i know all too well that this stage in her life won't last long. so, we decided to go outside on sunday to take advantage of the nice weather, and just went picture happy. i love emma so so much. i honestly don't know how i lived life without her in it before. so happy she's our precious love bug.

.we kind of did a photo shoot against her will...oops. haha.

.so done at this point....don't worry, i gave in and let her go inside right after we took this picture...if she wasn't so cute when she pouts i'd probably give in a lot sooner.
