.the 1st day of the 1st month of Spring requires a family photo shoot...at least in this fam.

One Sunday we got all matchy matchy and just loved having our girls all dolled up, and the weather was absolute perfection so Daddy decided to take us to a nearby hidden pond after church for some quick pictures and they are some of my current favorites.

I love that he's into this whole "taking pictures on a whim" thing that I've got going on. :) :) :) The girls are either going to love us or absolutely despise us for taking so many pictures of them in their lives....hopefully they'll at least secretly love it.

.7 months.

Why, oh why does the first few months/year of a baby's life just fly by?? It's a love/hate. But mostly love it because it's the sweetest thing to see this little muffin learn and grow and progress from one stage to the next. She fills our hearts with the most indescribable happiness. Why was i ever worried I wouldn't love this baby as much as Emma? I love Emma more now than ever after seeing her be a big sister, and Kylie is just my #1 baby doll. LOVE them both.

At 7 months Kylie was a pro at crawling, rolling, and sitting unassisted. She loved to stand against couches and people as much as possible - which totally scared me into thinking she'd be walking within a few weeks, but thankfully she wasn't there yet.

.Vday lovin.

In case you haven't noticed yet: I'm a picture happy mom. I am not obsessed (at least I don't think so) but it's really super important to me to have our day to day life (and big moments) documented. Valentine's Day was NO exception. How can it be when you have two of the sweetest Valentines to love on?!

First up was some pictures of the girls together. I suggested to Emma the idea of putting on my lipstick and kissing Kylie all over - to say she was thrilled to smother baby sis in kisses is definitely an understatement. It just tickled her pink to know she was allowed to not only raid mommy's makeup cabinet, but then to pretty much give Kylie a makeover - Heaven for my girly girl for sure!

Later that same day I took my girls outside to clean the yard since we were in the process of doing some major redecorating out there to make it more kid-friendly. And, {obviously} I had to take the camera along, and took a couple of pictures to send to Grandmas and Grandpas in our lives to let them know they are loved on Valentine's day by these munchkins.

As for Mommy and Daddy - Jay had work ALL week long and when he wasn't working he was studying for his NCLEX exam, so to take the pressure off we decided to do something super simple and just do better next year. We know we love each other so, we're good. ha. I love my man. And I know he loves me, which just blows my mind pretty much every single waking moment of every single day. Can't wait to go all picture happy next Vday when my girls are older and more willing to do fun pictures - well...i hope. ha.

.just dancing away.

Emma joined a ballet/tap class in January of this year, and she only has 1 week left before they're done for the season! -crazy. She has always been the most active baby ever so as soon as I found out about this amazing opportunity for her to do something she loves (and with her best little girly friend to boot) it was a must!

It did not disappoint. I mean... don't get me wrong, there were days when she was ready to call it quits (when her friend moved on to bigger and better things was one of those days for sure). But seriously, it's been something that she's looked forward to each week and we're so sad to have it end. Her recital is next Wednesday (eep!!) and then I'll be on the lookout for some fun summer activities for her to do.

Love my little ballerina. Serious dream come true to watch her dance on her little twinkle toes. I can't wait to see what else she gets excited about. ...did i mention she'll be *hopefully* doing soccer in the fall? um...I'm pretty much over the moon excited about this one. ugh, LOVE having her in my life. And we've loved ballet!

.HALF YEAR MARK.

Kylie turned {6 months} on January 13th. Her favorite things to do at this age were to sit up unassisted, and to push her cute little tush all the way up in the air. She learned to scoot this month, and a few weeks later was crawling like a boss. One of my favorite months so far! I love my little blue eyed wiggle bug.
