My sweet Kylie,
You were blessed by your daddy yesterday. It was such a perfect day to celebrate the birth of such a sweet and precious baby girl! Your daddy and I spent most of Saturday cleaning and preparing the house for the family luncheon that was going to take place after the blessing on Sunday. But we got to have a nice little break when your sweet grandma (daddy's mom) came down from St. George for a few hours to cuddle and play with you and Emma. You made your grandma SO happy when you woke up to give her a great big smile! And your big sister loved playing with grandma in the toy box. It was a super busy day, I think we only sat down for 10 minutes to eat, and ended the day with my mom coming over to help me finish sewing your blessing dress. It was a long day, but so worth all the effort because it made Sunday morning so much more relaxing than it would've been if we hadn't worked so hard.
The next morning you and I got up at 7:30 to shower and get ready for the day. The four of us relaxed most of the morning and just enjoyed snuggling before getting you and Emma dressed for church. Your Great Grandma and Grandpa Austad stopped by for a few minutes before church, so you got to meet them then, and Emma chatted with Grandpa Bob for a little bit, and then we were off to church for our 11:30 meeting!
Right before sacrament, the 1st counselor called Daddy up to give you a name and a blessing. Those that were in the blessing circle included Grandpa Fernelius, Great Grandpa Fernelius, Great Grandpa Austad, Grandpa Staheli, Brother Ellsworth, Brother Guffey, Bishop Fayles, and Matt Stewart. I just loved your sweet blessing, my precious girl. I recorded it so I still need to go and write it down, but I'm just so grateful that we are a forever family, and that your Daddy holds the priesthood and is worthy to bless his baby girl. I get teary eyed all over again just thinking about it.
We got a couple of pictures outside of the chapel of those that came especially for you, my little sweetie! You are SO loved!! I definitely missed your Aunts Tiff and Ash at the blessing, but they're off serving the Lord and doing exactly what they need to be doing, so I can't complain. :) {Can't wait for them to meet you!}
It was SO hot when we went out to take some pictures. Not to mention Emma was not wearing a diaper...-don't ask- so we were kind of in a hurry. We had a big group, and with a big group comes the task of taking a picture where everyone is looking at the camera, smiling, etc. We got Emma sticking her tongue out in one picture {thanks to Grandpa who told her to. ha} and we got a couple people blinking in the other, but at least we got some! We tried. :)

We were glad we got a few good pictures outside before the downpour hit! I had no idea it was going to rain. But everything worked out so we were all inside eating lunch by the time the rain hit.

These next two pictures crack me up. Kiana is 6 months old, and you're only 8 weeks but you two are about the same size! I love my big girl, but please please please don't grow so fast! I worked hard growing you for 10 months so I can have a new baby to play with. Do me a favor and stay small for just a little while longer so I can cuddle you whenever I feel like it. Please and Thank you! :)

The other was this canvas from the Stewarts! LOVE this and the quote that is attached. Pretty much made me cry thinking about my little princesses getting married one day. The water works never end with me.
After we played and talked and ate a delish taco dinner, our loved ones started heading home. The last to leave were Grandma and Grandpa Fernelius, and you and Emma wouldn't let them leave without some much needed cuddle time.
You are so so precious to us, Kylie. We are constantly showering you with cuddles and kisses, and you are gracious enough to let us. You are the most smiley baby I've ever seen, and it melts my heart every single time you look up at me with your gorgeous blue eyes and a great big grin. *sigh* You have mommy's heart, and always will. Daddy absolutely adores you, and Emma is already your best friend. She does everything for you, and her favorite thing to do is lay down next to you and pet your head and talk to you about the day...sweetest thing ever. I'm so glad you came into our family. What a special, sacred, perfect day.
